No, do not run away crying because you are scared or hurting.
Separate yourselves unto the Lord.
With the mounting pressures and strains that are placed on children and families in society, it is important that Christian families find time to separate themselves from the stresses and influences of everyday life, and immerse themselves in the Word of God while spending quality time together.
This can be done very simply. Set aside time. Do not allow anyone come by or interrupt. Do not allow anyone to leave. Spend time as a family doing things that you all find enjoyable. Keep it Christ and Family Centered.
I know that it can be difficult to find things you all enjoy if there are any in your family that are not serving God at the moment, but try, try, try. There is no greater disappointment to one that is feeling lost in their relationship with Christ than feeling like they have also lost their relationship with their family and/or friends.
Removing ourselves from the influence of the world and spending time meditating on the things of God, give us rest and strength for the battle. This path also assists in growing a bond in the family unit that allows communication, trust, respect and ultimately holiness to multiply and flourish.
So, next time that the enemy attempts to push you toward "Retreat," remember - there is no need to run away when you have spent time with Christ.
Joshua 1:9
"Have not I commanded the? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with the whithersoever thou goest."
